Beach Bound

Rather than a traditional cover-up, One of my favorite looks for the beach consists of bright shorts, a boyfriend button down, and cute accessories. My good friend recently styled this look for a photoshoot perfectly with a belt from my first Spring/Summer Collection for Nona E Rose!

Nona E Rose Spring/Summer’12 Lookbook

Each time I look at these Nona E Rose Spring/Summer 2012 lookbook shots I get butterflys. You always go into a shoot with certain images in mind, 6+ hours and hundreds of images later; the themes and shots, etc.. can go in any direction. From the composition, to the light and clarity; it feels like these pictures were ripped right from my imagination. Not to mention, these photos bring back great memories of the great time Dear Andi and I had shooting them!

Tips on How to Wear it from Bedknobs and Baubles!

As a belt designer, I’m always looking to show customers new and interesting ways they can wear Nona E Rose belts.  Along with a tumblr page, I’ve decided to have some of my favorite bloggers share some styling tips with you. The first up is Jessica from Bedknobs and Baubles. After launching a couple of months ago with stellar gift guides and inspiring color/trend boards, it quickly became of of my favorite reads.

Without further ado, here are some great “How to wear it” tips from Jessica, please stop by Bedknobs and Baubles for more great style suggestions;

“For a gal who loves accessories, a belt is anything but utilitarian. A belt is an accent piece, a much-needed pop of color, a shy experiment with leopard, and a flirty creation of an hourglass figure. Definitely not utilitarian. Here are a few of my favorite waist-cinching moments;”

Spring Sailing Stripes

Launching February 5th, Jason’s Wu’s collection for Target draws inspiration from French New Wave films and the actress Jean Seberg. The collection looks to marry a classic, feminine look with a modern flare.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this belted look from Atlatic Pacific blogger, Blair Eadie.  The print-stripe combo isn’t an easy look to pull off but with the right fall colors and great accessories, Ms. Eadie does it flawlessly.

Spotted! Nona E Rose in Brooklyn!

My good friend and fellow blogger, Liz posted this adorable outfit this morning on her blog, Dear Andi.  She bought the sea shell belt at my very first Nona E Rose trunk show back in the Spring of 2009 and has been a loyal customer and valuable part of the project ever since.

It’s funny. You think living in NYC, you should be able to get anything at any time. Yet as soon as I’m out of the city; I CAN”T WAIT to hit Target.  I’ll definitely have to make a trip for the Missoni collaboration coming out in a few weeks.

Love the vintage styling of the ad campaign(especially the belted looks!) and I hope those turbans are part of the collection!

A Spark of Modern Glamour…
