September Saturdays

My favorite Sex and the City Quote isn’t about relationships. One of the most true statements ever made on the show was, “New Yorkers hold on to every last warm Fall day as if it is the last one they will ever see.”  So spot on.

And in true fashion, I’ve filled my September Saturdays with long walks through Soho, beautifully hosted outdoor brunch, and multiple trips to the farmers market.

Fall Need List

All of these from Emerson Fry, Please.

Another reason to welcome fall

One of the best things about September is the return of Boardwalk Empire. This past Sunday’s season premiere was worth waiting for plot wise and visually it might be my favorite episode to date. Margaret’s dress and headpiece for the King Tut themed New Years Party was just beautiful and the party decor enviable.

And as always, the NY Mag recap, fantastic.

“I make clothes that women fall in love with.”

Said Oscar de la Renta when he spoke to my fashion draping class in college. Mission Accomplished.

Oh, there you go again…

…Jenny Packham, making my jaw drop. Collection after collection, Jenny Packham delivers gorgeous draping and exquisite vintage-inspired details.

New Space

As opposed to the beach or the pool, I spent labor day weekend doing the thing New Yorkers hate most…… moving.  Although I’m super excited about the new place (specifically the decorating aspect), I will miss what I called my corner office in my tiny old room. So many late nights making lookbooks, linesheets, budgets, and of course;

new designs. Memories.
