Said Oscar de la Renta when he spoke to my fashion draping class in college. Mission Accomplished.

Every Fashion Week I think to myself, “I should have a new favorite show.” But then, Jenny Packham gets me everytime. The beautiful sillouettes, belted looks, and perfect mix of bright colors and neutrals give the collection a timeless elegance while still remaining fresh.

We often associate pleated circle skirts with overly girly looks; floral prints, pearls ect… For their Spring Summer 2012 collection, Burberry Prosum shows this classic piece in a fresh light; bold primary colors, masculine stripes, and statement accessories. The below 4 looks have me looking forward to spring {already}!!

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the Derek Lam show at Lincoln Center. I love the fact that he had tons of belted looks to complement the bright palette and clean lines.

The best part of the show (other than the beautiful clothing of course!) was seeing one of my favorite New York institutions, Bill Cunningham at work (alongside Garance Dore, down on the floor to get the perfect shot!)

Accessories & Extras Make the Outfit!

I decided to go simple for my Fashion’s Night Out ensemble; (since the weather in NYC has been terribly dreadful this week!) simple black jeans and a silk striped top from J.Crew. To Jazz it up- I threw in this belt from my latest Nona E Rose collection.
And I followed this nail tutorial from cupcakes and cashmere to add a little sparkle.
