Accessories make the outfit…

This season, Fashion Week isn’t just about the clothes. Many up and coming accessories designers teamed up with apparel lines to accessorize their presentations.  For the second season in a row, Lizzie Fortunato Jewels teamed up with SUNO accessorizing their layered, patterned looks with sophisticated gold baubles.  These luminous statement pieces are a wonderful complement to suno’s fluid layers and somber palette.

Real Girl Runway Looks

There are so many elements of Rachel Comey’s Fall 2011 runway show that I love; the bold geometric and floral prints, the pleated skirts, the belted looks. But most of all, I love that each look is suitable for both the runway and the everyday. Every dress, jacket, skirt, and sweater is highfashion yet wearable.

Fashion Week Fav-WHIT!

Whitney Pozgay’s Fall 2011 collections for WHIT is the perfect marriage of lady like elegance and youthful whimsy. Pozgay describes the collection as,”Hitchcock meets Tavi with a dash of Grey Gardens”. Inspired by a little girl playing dress up in her grandmothers closet(much like my inspiration for Nona E Rose!!) the collection looks incredibly polished yet fun and easy to wear.

All looks were posed in front of paintings in the Ross Bleckner Studio in Chelsea.
